Valahia University of Targoviste is the initiator and member of the UNESCO UNITWIN Network (Decision of the Administration Council no. 6/21.03.2023) Heritage Preservation, Science, Communication and Sustainable Communities.

At international level, UNESCO UNITWIN Network on Heritage Preservation, Science, Communication, and Sustainable Communities mobilized experts from European, Asian, and African universities, NGOs, Professional Associations, and Local Communities, which will contribute to the research, protection, and promotion of cultural and natural heritage in the context of the development of sustainable communities.

The UNITWIN Network supports the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (2030), and UNESCO’s Medium-Term Strategy (2022-29) and strives to implement them in practice, using science, communication, and education.
